OAKS FIN Account Codes are uniquely structured numbers to identify account properties necessary in reporting and controlling financial activities for the State of Ohio. OAKS FIN Account Codes consist of six numbers and every number (or segment of numbers) breaks down the financial transaction entered into OAKS FIN.
The first digit of the Account Code represent the Type (e.g., Account Codes starting with a "4" are Revenue Account Codes and Account Codes starting with a "5" are Expense Account Codes).
The first 3 digits of the Account Code (together) represent the Category Segment. Listed below are the expense categories:
500 Personal services - Payroll
510 Contract services - Purchased personal services and Other
520 Supplies and maintenance
530 Equipment
540 PCard/EDI Transactions
550 Subsidies and shared revenue
560 Goods and services for resale
570 Capital Items
590 Judgments,Settlements and Bonds
591 Debt Service
595 Transfers and non-expense items
"7" in the fourth digit represents an ISTV expense account.
