Receivables are money owed by a customer to an agency for goods or services provided. In order for OAKS FIN to post a receivable, a pending item must first be created. This pending item will then become a receivable after a process called ARUPDATE runs. The ARUPDATE process, also known as Accounts Receivable posting, runs regularly during the day. The process updates customer balances, creates accounting entries, and posts the entries to the Receivables ledger. The Budget Check process then runs, followed by the Journal Generator process, summarizing the receivables accounting entries and creating journal entries in the OAKS FIN General Ledger.
A report can be run to view all codes for any ChartField type including Account codes, and when specified, Revenue Account codes. For instruction on how to view a listing of active Revenue Account codes see Running ChartField Reports in the Ledgers section of this manual.
